New Years Resolutions

Okay, I'm never that good with New Year's Resolutions so I'm not really sure why I set them at all. However, this year I have two major goals that I'm trying to work on.

1. Cook more. We need to eat out less and save money. I really don't enjoy cooking for my family. It's such a pain. It seems like whatever I cook someone is NOT happy. I really feel for my mom. This makes it so hard to please everyone which is why we tend to just eat out (which is also why I look the way I do).

2. Food Storage. I decide that right now I'm really going to try for the 3-month storage. After I get that, then I'll keep adding for a year. I have quite a bit, but have a long way to go. Today, I'm buying wheat and water containers for storage. I'm going to try to do a little bit each week.

We'll see how it goes. I have so many more things I need to work on, but these are my top two for this year.

AGH I know. Devin grew up eating home cooked meals because they live in a two horse town with no fast food, but I am convenience cook as well. It's not healthy for you or your budget.

I think you look good for eating a lot of fast food! I hear you though I have the same problem with trying to please everyone, but I decided they can take it or leave it! Good luck with your new year goals!

I too struggle with the eating out. It seems so much easier. But, I have found a GREAT friend: my crockpot. I've noticed that if I cook in that all day then I just know all along that's what we're going to have, and I'm not as tempted to deviate from that course. I also know what you mean with the food storage. I have another best friend regarding this topic: Emergency essentials! I love the things they offer that help make building food storage so much easier. Also, on a side note: I think you look GREAT and cute as always! :) Hope you guys are well!

I'm sorry, but I CAN'T believe you don't like to cook! Seriously, I'm shocked!!!Because you always make the best food! You can cook for me anytime if it helps with your resolution! :)
